Minister Kajzer attended the Dubrovnik Forum, one of the key international conferences in the region, held this year under the slogan of fostering dialogue and cooperation in a time of complex geopolitical circumstances. In his addresses and talks, he highlighted the importance of Slovenia’s cooperation with neighbouring countries, particularly Croatia and Italy, with regard to the Mediterranean, and dialogue in solving key international challenges.

Minister Fajon at MED9: A united and decisive response is needed to stop the violence in the Middle East
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon participated in the MED9 Informal Ministerial Meeting in Split to discuss security and cooperation in the Mediterranean. "The situation in the Middle East affects us all. We must insist on diplomacy and respect for the ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran, which must apply to everyone," said Minister Fajon.

State Secretary Grašič: MED9 countries' unified voice carries greater weight in EU decision-making
State Secretary Neva Grašič hosted a meeting of the MED9 group’s State Secretaries for EU Affairs in Portorož. The participants discussed current foreign policy issues, competitiveness and the EU budget. The MED9 group, which brings together nine Mediterranean EU member states, has been chaired by Slovenia for the first time this year. With nine voices being stronger than one, this is an important forum for coordination and the exchange of views.

The Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Center (WB3C) is proud to announce its collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF) to host the region’s first Cyber Capacity Building Workshop on 19-20 May 2025 in Podgorica. This high-level gathering will convene global experts and regional stakeholders to strengthen the Western Balkans’ cybersecurity resilience through two critical streams: addressing the cyber talent shortage and enhancing collaborative strategies against cybercrime.
