The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tone Kajzer, attended the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk, where he reaffirmed Slovenia’s ongoing support for Ukraine. He announced that Slovenia would co-finance the construction of three civil protection shelters in the Kharkiv region through official development assistance, and that it would join the International Civil Protection Shelter Coalition for Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has launched a new web and mobile eLastovka application for Slovenian nationals travelling abroad. The application allows faster and easier access to key information and significantly more effective notification in case of emergencies or crises.

Minister Tanja Fajon attended an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Kyiv. The visit, which took place four years after the liberation of Bucha, underscored continued support for and solidarity with Ukraine. The discussions focused primarily on holding Russia accountable for its crimes, assessing the situation on the ground and supporting peace efforts.

"Slovenia condemns this aggression in the strongest and most unequivocal terms and stands by the people of Ukraine. We are committed to achieving a just and lasting peace, advocate respect for international law and demand accountability for the crimes committed," emphasised Minister Fajon.

Minister Fajon in Kyiv: new agreement to enhance cooperation on Ukraine’s reconstruction and development
Minister Tanja Fajon concluded her visit to Ukraine with a meeting with her host, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. "Slovenia stands by Ukraine — not only in words but through concrete action," she said. During the visit, she signed an agreement on technical and financial cooperation, providing a firm basis for a long-term partnership in Ukraine's reconstruction and development.
