The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has launched a new web and mobile eLastovka application for Slovenian nationals travelling abroad. The application allows faster and easier access to key information and significantly more effective notification in case of emergencies or crises.

At the ministerial meeting of the Friends of the Western Balkans group and the Western Balkan countries in Bratislava, Slovenian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon reiterated her country's support for EU enlargement. She also called on EU countries that have not yet endorsed the Slovenian-German proposal for qualified majority voting on certain procedural steps in the enlargement process to do so.

At the meeting of Central 5 foreign ministers, Minister Fajon emphasises importance of dialogue and EU unity
In Tomašóv, Minister Tanja Fajon attended a meeting of the informal Central 5 group, comprising the foreign ministers of Slovenia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. "The C5 format is a valuable framework for exchanging views on the most pressing issues in our region and for strengthening ties between countries that share a common Central European identity," said Fajon.

Minister Fajon visited Slovakia for the first time and shared Slovenia's experiences on the UN Security Council
During her visit, Minister Fajon held talks with Minister Juraj Blanár, focusing primarily on opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation and the need for EU enlargement to the Western Balkans, as well as accelerating the enlargement process. Current international issues and Slovenia's experience as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council were also discussed.

The Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Center (WB3C) is proud to announce its collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF) to host the region’s first Cyber Capacity Building Workshop on 19-20 May 2025 in Podgorica.
