On March 6-7, the 7th J-PARC Program Advisory Committee (PAC) was held at KEK Tsukuba Campus, having 15 members including 5 from abroad.
Following an opening remark by Fumihiko Takasaki, Director of Institute of Particle and Nuclear Studies of KEK. Shoji Nagamiya, the director of J-PARC Center, reported the overall status of the J-PARC project. The accelerator status, the beamline commissioning status of the Hadron Hall and its experimental program at the secondary lines of K1.8 and K1.8BR were also shown. The slow beam extraction to the Hadron hall has recently started and experiment now begin. The E15/E17 experiments, which are the first experiments at the secondary lines, reported the beam tuning of K1.8BR and their detector preparation. In addition, T2K and several other experiments reported their preparation status. The committee will make comments on these experiments. This time a new proposal to study the medium modification of vector meson mass using new reaction was presented and evaluated. The advices and comments of the committee will be summarized as meeting minutes and will be opened in the near future.
