In order to promote the practical application of AIST's technology, we are promoting intellectual property management strategically.

We formulate the handling policy of intellectual property in each research project and acquire and manage intellectual property relevant to research results appropriately.

Our mission is promoting the commercialization of "technology seeds" through licensing intellectual property with the purpose of technology transfer to companies.

Intellectual Property & Technology Transfer activities

For our goal: technology transfer, we get our joint IP work under two policies;
1. Multi-applied Joint IP – designed for using in many fields and companies
2. Specialized Joint IP in co-owner’s business – can be an exclusive use by a co-owner upon negotiation
