Rhino is open source and as of release 1.7R4 Rhino available under MPL 2.0. Versions prior to 1.7R4 are released under MPL 1.1/GPL 2.0 license.

Portions of the floating-point conversion code, and portions of the test suite come from the Google V8 JavaScript engine and are copyrighted by the V8 authors, see NOTICE.txt
