Between 2011 and 2016, the Security Council held six open debates in connection with the working methods of the Council under the item entitled "Implementation of the note by the President of the Security Council (S/2010/507 Document PDF)". After the issuance of the revised note by the President of 30 August 2017 (S/2017/507 Document PDF) , the Security Council has been holding open debates on the same subject under the item entitled "Implementation of the note by the President of the Security Council (S/2017/507 Document PDF)". In 2020, in lieu of an in-person meeting, the Council held an open videoconference on its working methods in accordance with the procedures and working methods developed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
