while calculating maximum signal to quantization noise ratio of quantizer in linear quantization ,why the value of load rasistance and signal power is taken as 1 in normalized condition?

Merge with Quantization error

[edit ]

It looks like a no-brainer to me - I would merge this article into Quantization error. Is that what you had in mind? GyroMagician (talk) 13:23, 11 December 2009 (UTC) [reply ]

Mistake in SQNR-dB formula

[edit ]

The step from SQNR to SQNR-db is ignoring the Xmax^2 term. Instead of Pxv there should be -PAPR, a term that represents the signal peak-to-average-ratio. PAPR=10*log10(Xmax^2/mean(X^2)).
