Thank you! I found a stronger independent source that supports the birth year. The Fairmont Sentinel reported on March 1, 2024 that I was 26 years old, which is consistent with my December 29, 1997 birth date:

Small correction to my earlier source description: the Carson Press article "From social media to small-town hope" concerns the Topeka, Kansas community-support story, not a North Dakota family. Because it involved using my social-media reach to publicize a living-kidney-donor search, I thought it may be a relevant update for an uninvolved editor to consider.
