Pub/Sub Lite locations

This page lists the regions and zones where Pub/Sub Lite is available.

• A regional Lite topic requires you to only specify a region. For example, asia-east1(Taiwan) for the Region field in the Cloud console. Regional Lite topics are only supported in Apache Beam version 2.34.0 and higher.

• A zonal Lite topic requires you to specify a region and a zone within the region. For example, asia-east1(Taiwan) for Region and asia-east1-a for Zone fields in the Cloud console.

To reduce the end-to-end latency of a Pub/Sub Lite system, store messages in a zone close to where the publisher and subscriber applications run.
