Scott Logic created the Technology Carbon Standard Schema, an open-source tool that helps companies measure and share their digital carbon emissions data. With the ICT sector consuming 4% of global electricity, most organisations lack standardised ways to track their technology-related carbon footprint. The schema provides a structured format for measuring and exchanging this data between companies.

Bridging the AI Valley of Doubt

Despite the UK being the world's third-largest AI industry, only 1 in 6 UK firms are actively using AI due to financial, skills, and risk concerns, but businesses can bridge this "valley of doubt" by adopting measured "AI in the loop" approaches with human oversight, right-sized models, and government frameworks like Bridge AI to minimise business, societal, and environmental risks.
