September 2, 2003. The Uniform Code Council (UCC), leaders in facilitating efficient international business, announced today that the organization will hold its annual U Connect Conference May 25-27, 2004, at the Hilton Anaheim Resort in Anaheim, California. The three-day education and networking event will bring together a global audience of supply chain technology users from a variety of industries for educational sessions, networking opportunities, and an exhibition by technology vendors. In 2003, the conference accounted for nearly 1,200 supply chain professionals, including consultants, solution providers and technology executives. "There is no greater need in our knowledge-based economy than to be connected with the people, process and technology that drive business. The 2004 U Connect Conference is planned around this concept," said Tom Rittenhouse, President and Chief Executive Officer of the UCC. "U Connect will deliver a comprehensive educational and business-building experience for attendees." The conference focuses on how companies can employ the latest standards-based solutions, technologies, and business processes to manage their supply chain more efficiently. Sessions will deliver insight from industry professionals about practical applications and case studies on improving business practices and solving supply chain challenges. "Year after year, U Connect proves itself as a unique conference that truly is developed by supply chain technology users to benefit supply chain technology users," said Becky Pickett, Development Manager, eBusiness, Ahold Information Services. "Whether you are a new attendee or have been to U Connect in the past, you will walk away with the knowledge and tools to bring more efficiency to your business."
