Participated in Japan Education Fair 2025 in Uzbekistan
Japan Education Fair 2025 was held in Uzbekistan from Saturday, November 1st to Wednesday, November 5th, and SOKENDAI participated with booths at Samarkand and Tashkent venues.
Organized by the Uzbekistan Japan Center and co-hosted by the Nagoya University Uzbekistan Office and the University of Tsukuba's " Global Network Project to Promote Study in Japan," the fair itself was held at three venues: Samarkand, Tashkent, and Bukhara. Ten universities from Japan participated, attracting a total of nearly 1,900 visitors.
SOKENDAI participated in this fair for the first time since it began in 2009, and Executive Officer Arikawa, CEPD Lecturer Mayama, and Academic and Student Affairs Division Staff attended.
At the fair held at Samarkand State University in the afternoon of Saturday, November 1st, there were 173 attendees, and 68 responses were received from the booth survey. Additionally, at the all-day fair held at the Wyndham Tashkent Hotel on Monday, November 3rd, there were 633 attendees with 109 responses to the survey at the booth.
On Tuesday, November 4th, SOKENDAI, together with the University of Tsukuba and the University of Osaka, visited four universities: Uzbekistan State World Languages University, New Uzbekistan University, IMC | FH Krems University of Applied Sciences, TSUE, and Central Asian University. They introduced SOKENDAI and held Q & A sessions.
Through this Fair, SOKENDAI was able to understand the needs on the Uzbek side, and also take a valuable opportunity to convey the appeal of studying in Japan to local students.
