Implementing solar power systems
The majority of our company's electricity consumption comes from factories that operate production equipment 24 hours a day. To this end, JMS is implementing solar power systems to enhance energy efficiency in its factories and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Utilizing the generated power to partially meet the facility's electricity needs. We have entered into agreements with power companies to source a portion of our electricity from renewable energy sources for all our factories, as well as our headquarters and sales offices. We will continue to take on further reductions in CO2 emissions in the medium to long term.

Adopting LED lighting
In addition to our factories, we are advancing to adopt LED lighting with lower power consumption at our headquarters and sales offices. Furthermore, we are working towards energy conservation by reducing lighting usage time through the installation of motion sensors and regular turning off of lights.

Implementing high efficiency equipment
Our factories are operating cleanrooms in order to maintain a sterile and dust-free environment, and the turbo refrigeration units used in these cleanrooms adopt the latest high-efficiency models. Furthermore, we have achieved minimum energy operation of our equipment by installing devices that automatically control their operation based on conditions such as room temperature and humidity.

Reducing the amount
of product packaging materialsWe ship products in tray packaging instead of individual packaging and deliver equipment to medical facilities with pre-connected. This not only ease of quantity management and portability for our customers but also leading to a reduction in packaging waste.

Novel influenza countermeasure business plan
In accordance with the provisions of the Special Measures Law for Countering Novel Influenza, we have established a "Novel Influenza Countermeasure Business Plan" as a designated public institution. We recognize our social responsibility to continue business activities and maintain a stable supply of medical devices during outbreaks of new strains of influenza and other infectious diseases. Based on this plan, we are working to establish internal systems and thoroughly implement countermeasures. Furthermore, we have created an 'Internal Response Manual for Infectious Diseases (Influenza/COVID-19)' to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.This manual establishes protocols for responding to disease outbreaks and implements infection control measures.
