The 5th edition of the Uzbek Arbitration Week 2025 (UzAW) will take place from 23 to 26 September 2025 in Tashkent and is jointly organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC).
Uzbekistan continues to consolidate its position as a reliable arbitration seat. The adoption of the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration has marked a transformative milestone for the region, strengthening its legal infrastructure and reinforcing its position as a reliable arbitration seat. The latest TIAC statistics confirm this progress: as of January 2025, the caseload has tripled compared to January 2024, with 43 international cases registered, including a notable 25% in which both Parties were non-Uzbek entities. In 2024, TIAC was also nominated by Global Arbitration Review (GAR) for the prestigious "Best Innovation Award", recognizing the pioneering TIAC–HKIAC Cross-Institutional Rules of Arbitration.

The 12th East Africa International Arbitration Conference (EAIAC) 2025 will take place in, Abuja, Nigeria between September 25 & 26 2025. This year’s theme, "Arbitrating in Times of Global Uncertainty and Race for Natural Resources," addresses the business risks and opportunities faced by multinationals and investors. It underscores the pressing need for robust, cross-border dispute resolution frameworks in volatile times.
EAIAC has become one of the largest international arbitration conferences in Africa, bringing together arbitration practitioners, private lawyers, government officials, academics and in-house counsel from across the continent to discuss arbitration. The idea of the Summit is to bring together arbitration practitioners (under 45 y.o.) representing various regional and global groups to discuss the selected topics and network. The inaugural Summit was held in Hong Kong (2023), and the Second Edition of the Summit was held in Phnom Penh (2024). The new edition is scheduled to take place at the AIAC a day before the ASIA ADR Week 2025 as part of the Associated Events, allowing participants to join the ADR Week immediately after.
