"Growing" – the slider knob, when pressed, will show a close–up view of the rudder.
"Icon" – thin slider with a small knob.
"Icon and miniature" – thin slider and an additional close–up view of the rudder.

Auto-adjust sail mode

If enabled, the sail will be trimmed automatically, so you can sail using just the rudder. This is an educational feature, and if you use it during a race, your score will not be affected.

Stereo 3D

Motor control button

In tutorial only / Show always

You can use motor to turn your yacht into a motorboat, but if you use it, your score will not be affected when you complete a race. This button can be hidden to avoid accidental activation.

Raise/lower sail slider

Show when strong wind / Show always / Hide

This slider is useful during strong and gusty winds – lowering the sail could save you from capsizing. This slider is rather useless during light breeze, so there is an option to hide it.

Reverse rudder left/right Off / On

Display distance and wind speed

Yes / No

Displays numerically wind speed and distance to the next gate.

Higher values yield slightly sharper images, but consume more memory.

Gate span

Distance between two buoys in a gate.

Order

Simple / Mixed

For simple order, the route is circular. If the order is mixed, you will have to pass gates in a random sequence, and the route will be more complex.

Shoals

None / Some / Many

Determines the number of shoals on your way. Shoals will decrease your speed and increase the risk of capsizing.
