FeedBurner Socialize: Add Your Feed to Twitter
If you've used TwitterFeed to post updates from a blog to your Twitter account, you'll like FeedBurner Socialize. It's a new FeedBurner feature that distributes the content from a feed on Twitter.
"To get started, go to the Socialize service on FeedBurner's Publicize tab and add the Twitter account to which you would like to post items from your feed. You can take the default settings and click [Save] to start socializing immediately, or use the options we offer to customize exactly which feed items are sent to Twitter and how exactly you would like them to look. The next time you post a new item to your feed it will be sent to Twitter," mentions FeedBurner's blog.
Socialize uses Google's new URL shortener and it adds a parameter that helps you track Twitter traffic in Google Analytics.
My favorite thing about FeedBurner Socialize is that the tweet is posted immediately after I publish a blog post. That's because both FeedBurner and Blogger support PubSubHubbub, a protocol designed for near-instant notifications.

This is awesome. I've been putting off signing up for Twitterfeed because I dread creating one more account, and now I don't have to.
Reply DeleteMoved my feed tonight. Love it so far.
Reply DeleteAwesome!! So from now why to use those auto tweeting services like twitterfeed, HootSuite... Will be using this hi-quality and secure Google Short URL "Goo.gl".
Reply DeleteReally it helped me a lot.....This twitter feed system is great...Loved it all...
Reply DeleteThanks,
Bryan.
I switched from Twitterfeed and switched back again - this thing is not quite ready:
Reply Deletehttp://www.cloudave.com/link/google-s-feedburner-social-isn-t-quite-ready-back-to-twitterfeed-for-now
Works for me... I've been looking for a custom manner of doing away with Wordpress plugins to improve my server load. Thanks.
Reply DeleteThis is NOT working for me. I write my feed myself (it's a podcast, not tied to a blog) and any time I update it and ping feedburner...nothing happens.
Reply DeleteSame here, I had a few accounts using this feature on Feedburner and they all just stopped working. Come on Feedburner, fix that up. That feature ruled!
Reply DeleteI had one feed (http://feeds.feedburner.com/jasonscottphoto/rvhL) working fine on twitter via Socialize, created a blog on blogger (http://jasonscottphoto.blogspot.com - feedburner feed was created automatically and named something way to similar - http://feeds.feedburner.com/Jasonscottphoto - withouth my input). Went through feedburner setup, added it to my twitter account (http://www.twitter.com/jasonscottphoto) but it isn't showing up there, even after pinging. It does show up fine on facebook, but it was a lot easier to delete the old feed there...
Reply DeleteI deleted the old feed from feedburner w/30 day redirect, but should have deactivated Socialize first. :( I think maybe the old feed is still connected w/Twitter but can't get into the settings. I have deauthorized Google and re-added the new feed several times.
Help please!
Same here. I thought this feature is really cool. However, my feed at immigrantSource(http://feeds.feedburner.com/immigrantSource) stopped posting updates on my twitter account. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Reply DeleteHas this feature stopped working? It doesn't seem to be working for anyone..
Reply DeleteJust tried to enable for the first time -- broken for me too. "Add twitter account" brings me over to twitter, I give Google access, then it redirects me back to Feedburner and .. nothing. Feedburner doesn't think it's associated.
Reply DeleteFeedburner works with http://twitter.com/aktuelleNews24, but at http://twitter.com/Stelle24 the feature stopped working. Help!!!
Reply DeleteSame problem was Bernie above.
Reply DeleteSays I have to activate a feed - after I go through the process.
Something is broken ...
Feedburner socialize is crap. Spent the last two day back and forth from feedburner to twitter - website to feedburner, checking and double checking with only the odd update getting posted to twitter.
Reply DeleteThe feedburner socialize function is just not reliable enough, what a waste of time.
This feature no longer works!
Reply DeleteLook like this this feature is not available now. I am getting an internal server error, when adding new twitter account.
Reply DeleteSame here, internal server error
Reply DeleteI am also getting an account server error when trying to add my twitter account

same here.. can someone fix it please?
Reply DeleteStill doesn't work. Stuff like this makes Goog look like a bunch of amateurs. Either fix it, or remove the option.
Reply DeleteI do use TwitterFeed to post updates on my personal blog and I have not heard of this, but I'm glad I came to your blog and read this post I will try this FeedBurner Socialize. tool, thanks!

WTF Google?!
Ok - it looks like only this week it has been acknowledged: http://feedburnerstatus.blogspot.com/2010/12/known-issue-problems-with-socialize.html
it's not working, There isn't even a "Socialize option" on the Publicize tab, just Feed count then Clicklet option. WTF ? Are you all on about, this is so annoying!
Reply Deleteyeah, it's not work here...any reason?
Reply Deletehi all, it's work for me, you should setting that first...
Reply Deletethe same problem still exists, its already 3 days that this future isn't working, I've tried to reactivate the socialize future for twitter but after that some posts are publishing some aren't can any one help to fix
Reply DeleteVery good tools, let's go to configure with the code reduction !
Reply DeleteNo longer available. :/
Reply DeleteNo longer available yet
Reply DeleteHey they have removed this option. I want to disable but impossible for now :(
Reply DeleteThis thread has an interesting workaround: click on any Feedburner feature in the left sidebar and you'll get an address like:
Reply Deletehttp://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/buzzboost?id=LONGID
Replace "buzzbost" (or any other keyword) with "socialize" in the URL. The feature is still there, but it has been removed from the interface.
