A Moon or a Button
by Ruth Krauss and Remy Charlip, 1959
A perfect book for readers with attention disorders. Each page introduces a new storyline that is never completed.
You don't have to start in the beginning. You can start anywhere you like.
This is much easier than writing a real book.
Krauss beat Italo Calvino by twenty years. He employed a similar technique in If On a Winter's Night a Traveler in 1979. Instead of first lines only, Calvino used first chapters only. His book didn't have any pictures either.
