This wish is open

Description

A basic Backup feature exists for the moment.
However, no Restore and no Import (of a part or a whole set of pages to a new wiki) exist.

I was thinking about download site, but that would make a local backup in pure html format and, probably, broken javascripts.

Assume, I have a dozen (or more) smart people working for me and creating content.
It's not like I've been granted some special right by Wikidot Inc., or discovered some secret feature.

Yup. I'd also love a restore function just for symmetry but to be honest (a) I've never, once actually needed it, and (b) I used to do site copies using backup.zip + hand pasting, until the Clone module arrived.

Anyhow, the backup needs meta data to be complete, and even then you would not get comments and forums.

Wikidot keeps multiple live backup databases, so a real disaster is not going to happen.

Anything is possible, so the more backups there are, the better. Which is why it's good that we can backup at least some of the wiki site (no meta data, comments, forums, etc as you mentioned)

Trapped in the cloud

I cannot see on your last changes any history "button" - therefore I cannot check what you could mean.

And you are a pro-account - means the history is full in paginating shown and not shortened ( as free account have)..

There is in the history ALL saved oin wikidot. only the attached files (updates) have no history.

and the forums?

I do not understand - if ypou have not deleted any post & thresd - than there is all here…?
