This is my first attempt at trying to understand CSS code and custom themes.
There are a number of references to custom themes:-

From some of these i discovered the firefox add ons that help with design and implementation of a custom theme.
Yet, because i have sod all idea about CSS code, i struggled a bit. (Ok then. A lot!)
So i had a go at trying to make a Idiots guide, written by a idiot.
Because of the way i have done it, i cant place it within these pages.
So you will need to go and have a look at it else where:

I believe the "Time spent actually designing anything" is highly exaggerated.
Yeah, I think internet explorer was designed to make it hard for people. I really hate those errors in programming, were it is just one little thing, in 1000 lines of code. It's painstaking, when you don't have an IDE that says "hey, the error is right here!!!"
I just stumbled on something amazing from the old years.
