Hi,
im a teacher for chemistry and informatics. Im planning to build up a wiki for my classes. question:
might it possible to login on my sites (pks.wikidot.com) without having my 'superpassword', just with a special other, different
passwort i would give to the students? this special passwort would allow the students to modify only dedicated pages, not the whole stuff.
perfect situation: login on (e.g. pks.wikidot.com) for user1 with passwort: test1, modify possible on page1; for user2 with passwort test2, modify possible on page2 and so on …
perfect situation 2: user1, user2 and so on must not be members on wikidot …
also perfect: user1, user2 not members on wikidot, having a special passwort for my sites, allowed changes for same page 'test_or_whatever'
would be really great if you could do that
thanks a lots, r. steiger
Hi,
Any site can have unlimited number of members. With different roles (admin/moderator/member).
The closest solution to your situation is:
- let your students register and each one to have a valid account.
- make them Members of your site
- use categories with different permissions - there is an option that only original author (owner) of a page can edit this page. you can use it to limit mod access to individual Members.
In general - you should easily configure your site so it fits your needs more or less.
