Hello everyone.
Today I bought a used supere Pad 6 in very good condition. I'm happy with the product, except that I originally bought it to play a multiplayer game and I was relying on the ‘workstation’ mode for that. I'd looked into it beforehand and I'd seen that this mode existed on this tablet. Except I didn't know that there were specific features depending on the version. So the version I currently have MIUI 14 doesn't have the ‘workstation’ mode I'm looking for.
The person who motivated me to buy this tablet has the same one, except that he has the HyperOS 2 version, so he also has the ‘workstation’ option. I realised this after quite a few hours of research.
Now the question is how do I go from MIUI 14 to HyperOS 2? I've seen a lot of information quoted on the internet and as I've just bought this tablet I don't want to do anything stupid. As you've probably realised, I'm far from being a professional.
So I've seen that it's possible to manually flash the hyperOS 2 version, but I don't want to do anything stupid and so I'm turning to you for a little guidance, a tutorial if possible, on how to proceed.
There are already several things I don't understand:
I was told to download the RECOVERY version and not FastBoot. At this link: https://miuirom.org/tablets/xiaomi-pad-6 Is this already correct?

Then, to flash with Miflash, I think I understand that i have to do something beforehand to get some sort of authorisation?
That's the point that's still a bit unclear to me.
I don't have much more information, or it's not very clear. That's why I'm turning to you. Can you help me to do this flashing without any problems? I'd be very grateful. Thank you for any help you can give
Many thanks /\

I know I need to unlock my bootloader now but I'm getting an error message saying that the location of my account and my device don't match or something like that so I'm stuck. I've tried recreating several accounts by trying different techniques (changing the region, using a vpn etcetc) and nothing has worked. I'm stuck at this stage...

I'm still looking for alternative methods or a solution

Thanks for any help

you don't need to unlock the bootloader to update your device, is updating all you want to do?

If all you want to do is update, you can do that easily, be careful though, if you wish to unlock the bootloader of this device in the future for whatever reason (all up to you), doing it on MIUI is much easier than on hyperOS and you cannot go back to MIUI, you have been warned!!!

Steps to update:
  1. Make sure you have more than 60% battery during this process or the update may fail!!!.
  2. download the firmware again from a trusted source, that website you used is not trusted, use this link: https://xmfirmwareupdater.com/archive/hyperos/pipa/ from a trusted member of the xiaomi/xda community.
  3. Download the recovery update matching your region, you will find the region code inside the system updater, example: OS2.0.8.0.UMZEUXM is europe region, why? because OS2.0.8.0.UMZEUZXM.
  4. Update in incremental steps, download the hyperos 1.0 first, then you can update to 2.0 afterwards. else you will ahve issues later. (usually, after updating to hyperos 1, you should get the the update to hyperos 2 automatically through the updater)
  5. Now for the actual steps: go to settings -> about phone -> click the MIUI version top left -> then tap on MIUI symbol/logo on the center of the screen 10 times, it should say: additional options unlocked.
  6. tap the 3-dot menu on the top right and select choose update package then navigate to your downloaded update and choose it. The update should start.

Hello and thank you for your contribution. Unfortunately I've already tried this procedure and it didn't work. When I launch the update by selecting the recovery ROM I get an error message that tells me almost nothing.
So it's true that this simple method could have solved my problem quickly, but it would have been too good to be so easy :x

I found out on the forum that there were people specialising in bootloader unblocking for a fee. I think this is the most reliable solution I have at the moment. Because I've learned of the existence of exploits to use but I'm afraid of damaging or even rendering my tablet unusable. I'm going to continue my research.

As soon as I get my bootloader unblocked, all I have to do is flash the update with Miflash and I'll finally have my new OS. That's just what's stopping me at the moment.

then your device must be chinese, sometimes, chinese device get flashed (by those people you mentioned) with global roms, making it not receive any official updates. (chinese devices are cheaper, hence why)
You can check with the following link:

Verify your phone purchase

If it says it is chinese, then you would need to flash hyperOS using EDL or a modified miflash. This is the one im talking about:
xdaforums.com

Patched MiFlash for Poco F3 EDL Flash (No internet required)

This is a patched MiFlash that can EDL flash Xiaomi SD 870 (and many more) devices. I have tested it on my Poco F3. Does not require login or even internet. Extract the folder and run the XiaoMiFlash.exe. When you click "flash" it will at first...
xdaforums.com xdaforums.com
Read the thread above carefully before you proceed (not tested by me), make sure you're on the right fastboot firmware (chinese ROMA for chinese device)

Also there is an EDL loader floating around that I can't find at the moment, I will post it here If i find it and you need it. All I'm trying to do is make you avoid having to pay for it, since this is a relatively old device, if it was a new device, I wouldn't advice to risk it.

(flashing EDL/ MIflash formats your data, this is unavoidable sadly)
