In 2024, about 28 percent of all electricity consumed in Finland was produced in Olkiluoto, efficiently on a small geographical area. Of the island’s approximately 900 hectares, only 170 hectares are needed for nuclear power and final disposal.

The safe operation of the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant is based on skilled personnel and high-level plant technology. We produce almost third of Finland’s electricity in a year.
