Turu is a Bantu language spoken by about 600,000 people mainly in the Singida Region in central Tanzania. There are also some Turu speakers in nearby regions such as Manyara, Tabora and Morogoro.

Turu is also known as Nyaturu, Kinyaturu, Rįmi, Rémi, Rimi or Limi. Turu speakers call their language Kιnyatυrυ or Kιrιmi, and themselves Arιmi ("farmers") or Wanyatυrυ ("the people of Nyaturu"). There are three Turu tribes, the Airwana (Wilwana), Vahi (Wahi) and Anyiŋanyi (Wanyingʼanyi), each of which has its own dialect of Turu: Girawan, Giahi and Ginyamunyinganyi.
Turu can be written with the Latin script, and the Bible is being translated into Turu.
