Information for Visitors Who Have Other Difficulties Using the Library
Contents
1. Library Support
If you have any concerns about using the library, please do not hesitate to ask at any counter. Communication boards (picture cards to point at) are available at the General Information desks for both the Main Building and the Annex.
The library staff will assist you with entry procedures, searching and requesting materials, etc. Necessary assistance is also provided for the use of the cafeteria (6th floor of the Main Building) and the coffee shops (3rd floor of the Main Building and 1st floor of the Annex), as well as information on restrooms.
2. Facilities
2-1. Restriction on the Use of Electronic Devices
Electronic devices are not permitted to be used in Reading Room 2 on the 3rd floor of the Main Building. Please turn off the power of any electronic devices in the room.
2-2. Reading Room for Persons with Disabilities (Annex 2F)
The Reading Room for Persons with Disabilities is located near the entrance of the Annex. Visitors who have difficulty using the reading space, such as visitors who involuntarily make loud noises, can use the reading room as well. In addition, visitors with intellectual or learning disabilities can use DAISY data in the room. Please ask at the Entrance Counter if you wish to use the reading room.
As there is only one reading room for persons with disabilities, priority is given to those who have reserved it in advance. Reservations can be made by telephone or other means one month before the date of use.
For more information, please contact us during library hours.
