To prepare for the virtual APFSD 2020 in May, ESCAP hosted a series of online discussions focusing on the theme of "Accelerating action on, and delivery of, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific" from 30 March to 8 April. IGES was invited to deliver remarks during the Webinar on Global Environmental Commons on 6 April. IGES President Takeuchi reiterated the importance of an integrated approach to climate change, biodiversity and disaster risk management. He also emphasised the need to engage diverse stakeholders.
