China’s External Relations During the Era of Xi Jinping (2018_2_40_004)

Outline

This research project aims to analyze China’s external relations under the Xi Jinping administration. In doing this, it focuses not only on China’s bilateral relations with such actors as the United States, Russia, Japan, and Taiwan, but also on its multilateral relations with regard to the One Belt One Road projects. Taking into account the historical backgrounds of these relations, this project intends to examine the current and future directions of the Xi administration’s external policies after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (Shijiu-da) held in October 2017.
