Modi Government and the Prospects of India (2018_2_40_011)

Outline

Since the 1990s, India has started showing its metamorphosis through the introduction of economic liberalization, intensification of caste and religious conflicts, and testing of atomic weapons. However, the metamorphosis of the 1990s and 2000s vis-à-vis the changes that occurred in the 2010s indicates a marked difference. Such difference looked to be mainly caused by the various policies implemented of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which came to power in 2014.

The main aim of this study is to delve into contemporary India’s transformation in the 2010s and to study the potential changes in the future.

Period
