Communist Single-Party Rule and Mass Organizations: Case Study of Vietnam and Cuba (2017_2_40_006)
Outline
The resilience of Communist single-party rule has been analyzed in the context of the development of stable democracies and resurgence of authoritarian rulers. However, there has been little progress in the analysis of communist regimes or totalitarian regimes. One reason is believed to be that most communist states disappeared after the disintegration of the Soviet Union. Only a few have survived, but there have not been enough analysis to determine why these few survived while the other disappeared.
