Description

•Guidance publications in the field of digital technologies for image quality assessment and dosimetry in diagnostic radiology.

•Software tools for quality assessment and dosimetry in diagnostic radiology available to all Member States.

Objectives

The overall objective of this project is to enhance quality control in radiography and mammography through the implementation of a remote and automated quality control programme

Specific Objectives

To apply the methodology in clinical practice for different imaging modalities (computed radiography, digital radiography, mammography, etc) in different types of facilities.

To investigate the correlation of the image quality (IQ) metrics with equipment performance, including the establishment of typical reference values and acceptable ranges of variation.

To create an international network of medical physicists that can interact and support each other in clinical practice through implementation of the remote automated QC program.
