Objectives

To achieve self-sustainability of the Sri Lanka Gamma Centre by expanding capabilities and capacities with improved quality of services while increasing customer satisfaction and encouraging new industries with a view to national development (Part I), and to expand the nuclear analytical services of the Life Sciences Division of SLAEB by obtaining a new gross alpha/beta counting device for the gross alpha/beta radiochemical laboratory and other already existing nuclear analytical techniques such as gamma spectrometry, alpha spectroscopy, and isotope ratio mass spectrometry (Part II).
