Interesting lap, a little ragged but the time was still there. The speed you carry through the hairpin is utterly insane, I will try 3rd as well because wheelspin is tough to keep in check. But your minimum speed is crazy high through the hairpin, damn.
Just in case you don't know: the poster of the lap is not @Mistah_MCA . These lap time posts have kind of a "First!!" vibe to me but then again they are helpful and relevant to this thread which is why the posts are useful. Just a bit odd.
Are you talking about the jerky stuttering of the wheel? I am not sure I understand what the issue is. Ignore the rest if I misunderstood.

I guess just like regular wheels the game inserts the gyro input directly into the car's steering wheel just like when using an actual steering wheel as your input method. This is in comparison to the smoothing that is applied to the controller inputs.

I guess that a gyro sensor is just simply limited with regards to its sensitivity. Therefore the game receives a signal that the controller in your hand gets stuttered back and forth without an ability to know that that's not true but an artifact of the gyro sensor being slightly off. A wheel on the other hand is all mechanical which allows for much more precise (or even perfect) translation from what the user does to their wheel to what happens in the game.

What I am trying to say is that there is probably no fix to this jerkiness unless you are fine with PD applying a smoothing function to the gyro inputs just like they do with the analog sticks. I would guess that this would make it worse.

Theoretically it could also be an actual malfunction of the controller being used and the gyro sensor normally being perfectly accurate. Maybe try a different controller and see if the effect persists.
Yes, jerky stuttering of wheel.

As example of another racing game, Drive Club, which I play on same controller and on same PlayStation with same hands and same steering movements, there it works smoothly and nicely in all angles. So in my logic, that means it can demonstrably work without twitching and it should in Gran Turismo 7 too.
I have very little free time this week and next because of a big project at work.
With my commute I'm away from home from 04:30 till 18:00 (6PM 😉) then making dinner, spending some time with the kids, etc leaves me with around 1,5hours actual free time that the misses dont want me spend racing 🤣

Got a decent time in the Chapparal with 1:30.580 but my optimals were showing high 1:29's...
Litteraly drove 4 laps at Interlagos and it will probably be my last 🤣
First lap 1:49.8xx, second invalid, 3rd lap 1:49.256, 4th lap 1:50.xxx
It'll have to do... 🤷‍♂️

Happy hunting boys.
Morning my fellow addicts,

Quick session in the NSX this morning.
Felt good, had a lot of chances for something far better, ran a lot of high .4xx's so we gained something here 😁😂
There was even a lower .4 somewhere between them so won a few places on the board back 😁

Stuffed up some better ones but progression has been made again 😁🥳

Hi mate and apologize to others for being off TT topic a bit. I know not you or not me can do anything about making gyro work fully correctly.

PD can and they should. Gyro works nicely in GT sport.

I installed GT sport now again.
Went on Colorado in Mitsubishi EVO and it works sooo sooo smoothly.
Tried exactly same car track settings in GT7 and it's twitchy.
I mean in reality it doesn't mean I could beat world record. I finished P13, maybe if it worked flawlessly maybe I could gain few positions, maybe not. But it would be really nice if it worked smoothly so I know it's me and my skills, not aha, gyro is twitchy and I lost perfect entering or exciting corner because of that. Just saying 😊

It's just still image. I can post video comparison side by side, but as I said, two of us watching it, won't solve the issue. 😊
Morning!

Good luck to all you guys g-forcing your way through Suzuka, i made my choise.... not going to it again, did it once, it was enough,
It was doable on the pad for me then, it should be now too but i rather spend my time in the NSX for now.

I did run some laps at 6 AM this morning but maby had some difficulty waking up properly.... i don't know... maby it was the single Malt @Dan_Tes bought me yesterday

So, off top but on forum

When i made my first post on this forum/thread april '22 i had absolutely no idea this was going to be such a good place.
Over the years i got to know some nice people here, and with some tips and tricks from the faster guys here i got a lot faster
So GT7 timetrialing realy clicked for me with this forum.

But i would have never guessed that years later i would pick up our resident alien @Dan_Tes at a Amsterdam Hotel to have a great evening talking about life, cars and GT7 with a good meal, I had a blast! thanks buddy!

So international forum made friends become real ones...

Now thats! what's GTplanet and GT7 can do folks! that's what is't all about :) :)
GT7 platinum achievement unlocked ✅ - Meet an alien on planet Earth.

@Gomario JSP has often said if I find myself in Amsterdam that we will meet and true to his word, the first opportunity we had we did exactly that!

In the real world I have friends who like cars, friends who do track days and Nordschleife trips but nobody who plays GT7 or enjoys time trials so chatting about it casually the only outlet I have is this forum and the people who post regularly on this thread; I’m guessing that’s the same for almost everyone else here. So what a treat it was to not only meet Jomar and chat about life, eat steak and drink whisky but also be able to talk about our hobby in a way that we can’t anywhere else.

It’s a real treat to have a community like this and I’m honoured to be a part of it even if I don’t get to play or post as much as I used to.. it’s almost certain my time trialling is pretty much done for the year and so what a way to end it on a high at Watkins Glen. I’m guessing next time I’ll play it’ll be after the big update; like this community the game itself is amazing for the value it’s given us over the years and I can only thank GTP and PD equally for that.

That’s enough waffling from me anyway, I’m guessing none of you will be shocked to learn that @Gomario JSP is even friendlier in person than he comes across on these pages, nice to finally meet you friendo 🫡 🍻

Certainly was alot of fun mate!, and this won't be the last time I guess 😂.
No surprise either though that Daniel is as friendly as he is fast....insanely 😁🙏
nice to meet you too buddy!
#newfriendshavebeenmade

So....this boosted the confidence 😂 and between things on a busy day i went out agian .....(just to stay on topic 😂)

Better S1, descent rest and a very descent last corner 😁

Still some room though but Ill take it 😁
Whoop, whoop 😁😂😂🥳🎊🍾🎊🥳

I'm off, see ya!
Happy weekend everyone - lovely to see Dan and Jomar connecting 👍

Had an hour run in the NSX both last night and this morning and got much closer to my potential. In theory there's another 1-2 tenths in it, but I'm not sure my nerves can take it!

Moved on to Suzuka - I think there must be some changes to the game since we last ran this in March, because back then I ran a 35.8, and I don't see that in my future this time around  ... Decent start, but not sure I'll make it into the top 1000. Hope everyone is well
