On behalf of the International Committee for Weights and Measures’ Forum on Metrology and Digitalisation (CIPM’s FORUM-MD), APMP-DXFG team (NMC, KRISS, and NIMT) together with PTB, CMI and CENAM organised an online workshop titled "Metrology on Complex Sensor Networks". More than 130 participants globally attended the workshop for technical exchanges in this area and gathered insights from RMO’s work and real-life applications. Those include the global sensor network deployed by the Comprehensive nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) for nuclear activity monitoring and industry insights from a gas transport and distribution solution provider in Europe on the importance of measurement traceability and quality of data from their sensor networks.

As a result, an interest group on sensor network metrology has been proposed to the FORUM-MD to foster close collaboration and to harmonise understanding and practises in sensor network metrology.
