- Input of the form x^(y) in a notebook is interpreted as Power [x,y], not as Superscript [x,y].
- Superscript [x,y] formats as x^(y) in StandardForm and TraditionalForm .
- In InputForm , Superscript [x,y] formats literally as Superscript [x,y].
- The baseline of Superscript [x,y] is taken to be the baseline of x.
- Superscript [x,y] is normally output with y in a smaller font than x.
