Do you think we need to change the default version from 10 to some higher version, like 12 which is the default of clang-tools:all? or just keeping to 10 is good.

Personally, I usually prefer to use the newer version.

LTS releases are right around the corner. I think you can leave it as is for a while still. I read a while back that some are still using v8 (like adafruit org). I think Arduino will start using v12 soon.
