Thanks for all your contributions @ehmicky and apologies for taking so long to getting around to addressing them. I was really disappointed with myself that I'd not found the time to tackle them when I saw that build plugins had made it out of beta (congratulations on that by the way 🎉!!).

I've tested the changes locally and against the published package on Netlify and everything is working as expected.
