This template is intended to provide a convenient means of navigating between core articles on the history of science.
Usage
[edit ]By default, the template appears as opposite, i.e. with all lists expanded. To display the template with all lists collapsed, add the parameter |lists=collapsed or |startcollapsed=true, e.g.

To display the template with all lists collapsed save one, use the instructions in the second part of the following section:

- To set it to display all lists when it appears (i.e. all lists expanded), use:
{{WikiProject History of Science|expanded=all}}or{{WikiProject History of Science|all}}(i.e. omitting|expanded=).
- To set it to display one particular list while keeping the remainder collapsed (i.e. hidden apart from their headings), use:
{{WikiProject History of Science|expanded=listname}}or{{WikiProject History of Science|listname}}- ...where listname is one of the following (do not include any quotemarks):
- background
- by era
- by culture
- natsci
- math
- social
- tech
- medicine
- For example,
