[edit ]question about doing a Facebook video chat with a friend
[edit ]So sometimes I do a Facebook video chat with a friend and I'm wondering is there a way I can use my web camera to take a photo of me and my friend during the chat? - If you are using a PC/laptop (you refer to a webcam), on any version of Windows (don't know about other OSes), make the Facebook window full screen. At any point in the convo, press
Shift+PrintScreen(orPrtScr), which will copy the entire current screen (NB if you happen to be using two monitors, it will copy them both). Press theWindowskey and entermspaint. Microsoft Paint will open (or fire up your favourite image editing app eg PaintShop). PressCtrl+V(or click the Paste icon), edit to your requirements and save as e.g. a .bmp file. Done. NB You will have do this each time you want another screenshot, the technique can't make multiple copies - i.e only the last keypress will be copied to the clipboard. Shift+Command+3to grab the entire screen, orShift+Command+4to select a portion of the screen with the crosshairs. PrtScgrabs the entire screen,Alt+PrtScgrabs the current window, andShift+PrtScallows you to select a portion of the screen. This should automagically save the screenshot in the your Images folder. Gnome has a Screenshot utility.
