Hey all, and welcome to my page!

I became a member in September of 2024, but I have familiarized myself with many of the ways that things operate here for years prior to actually making an account when I would just wander through Wikipedia for the heck of it.

I am a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, and I am currently a student at Youngstown State University (go Guins!).

Most of what I work on things that are local to me, as quite a few of the pages haven't seen the care they've needed for quite some time now. My big thing right now is the article on the Portage Trail Conference, as the conference is now defunct, and with the major news source for it in the past (the Record-Courier) being a skeleton crew anymore, now's the time to get it in order. The conference played a great part in my experience with high school sports, and even though my alma mater left the conference before its demise, it's still important to me.

I have a deep-rooted passion for the weather, and really anything natural in the sky for that matter. The weather often just truly mesmerizes me, and I'm just a huge nerd about it to my friends. I'm lucky enough to have lived in the path of the total solar eclipse of April 8, 2024, and it is an experience that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Definitely going to make every effort to go see another one. As if getting one bucket list item checked off this early wasn't enough, I was also lucky enough to witness the northern lights from the May 2024 solar storms, right in my own backyard! Having them cover literally the entire sky here in Ohio is truly an exceptional event, and I'll admit, my first experience seeing the northern lights spoiled me. When the solar storms in October 2024 rolled around, I just knew I needed a better vantage point, and went out to the causeway on Mosquito Lake. Didn't disappoint, and took some friends along for the ride. Might just have to keep chasing them. Now, if I don't stop myself here, I'll keep yapping.

In addition, as I've become more active here, I find myself leaning into more maintenance-y tasks, namely cleaning up broken anchors and cleaning up CS1 errors.

I've published 2016 NCAA Division III football rankings. I managed to find all polls from D3football.com, but the Coaches' Poll from AFCA has been a struggle. I found all their polls, whether it be from archive.org or from their Twitter—that is, apart from the final poll in December. I cannot seem to find it anywhere. If you happen to stumble upon my userpage and are more skilled at scouring the Internet or the Wayback Machine than I am, I would greatly appreciate your help with this. Here's a seed for this as a starting point, proving that it did happen and even with the link it supposedly existed at.
