Template talk:Libraries in London

Hi all!

Libraries - archives > A little bit difficult to divide these two as most organisations seems to do a bit of both. Would it just duplicate effort to have a sep. navbox for archives as the organisations would be found repeating in both?

I agree that any attempt to separate libraries and archives two would be over-complicated and self-defeating, and that we don't want 2 navboxes. The present arrangement is fine. Getting rid of "Library" in the template? > It feels like repeating "library" every time uses up a lot of space. e.g. instead of Wandsworth (Battersea Central Library, Putney Library), it could simply be (Wandsworth (Battersea Central, Putney)? Bridgr7 (talk) 12:00, 30 August 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

I've added London Metropolitan Archives to the template. I've put it on its own at the head of the "Council" section, as its collections cover the whole of Greater London, although it's funded/administered by the City of London.
