Removed content from article

[edit ]

I've removed the following from the article:

The Very Small Array was a humorous working name used in comparing it to the Very Large Array near Socorro, New Mexico, but in the end it stayed. Other potential early names for the array included the very British title Quite Small Array.

While a nice bit of information, I can't find a reference for it. If anyone can provide a ref for it, then it can go back on the article page.

Also, the external links:

The first, while pretty, doesn't add anything more to the article than is already provided by the links to the Jodrell/Cambridge webpages on the VSA. The second is a fairly shallow news report, the content of which is given much better both in the article and in the journal references. Mike Peel 03:40, 7 July 2007 (UTC) [reply ]

Past Tense?

[edit ]

Why is 2/3rds of the article in Past Tense and 1/3rd in Present Tense? IceDragon64 (talk) 01:14, 9 November 2017 (UTC) [reply ]

A gallery would do good for this article and enhance visualizing this array 2605:A601:A13D:2600:E532:339C:85F4:2661 (talk) 09:53, 11 July 2022 (UTC) [reply ]
