The Texas Chainsaw Massacre removed

[edit ]

I have removed the 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre from the list of Focus's releases. Although Focus played a small part in it's distribution, its production, most of its distribution, and the release of its DVD was handled by New Line Cinema. Furthermore, the Focus Features website does not list it in their archive of movies. NanoTy

Sounds good. Thanks for clearing that up. Whosyourjudas 20:19, 25 Sep 2004 (UTC)

The New PolyGram?

[edit ]

I was wondering if Focus Features is the reincarnation of PolyGram. Mewtwowimmer 05:21, 17 February 2007 (UTC) [reply ]

Abuse of Wikipedia by Focus Features or its Agents

[edit ]

Many edits giving exceedingly glowing accounts of the company have been made. Seriously unethical actions on other websites really call into question whether this article is providing a proper and full account of the company. The drive to make the article comply with Wiki standards needs to be accelerated and targeted to making the article less biased. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.235.255.208 (talk) 06:45, 31 August 2007 (UTC) [reply ]

Edits were made to the section of the article critical of the corporation's advertising actions. I will re-add this section. Removal of an entire section, particularly of subject matter regarding censorship should BE DISCUSSED ON THE DISCUSSION PAGE FIRST. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.235.255.208 (talk) 03:15, 17 September 2007 (UTC) [reply ]

The citations alleging shill behavior on Yahoo are other "user reviews" within the same Yahoo user forum.
I assert no "user review" on Yahoo is reliable based on content alone since the author might be an antagonist, a shill or a sockpuppet. IMO the removal is supportable for unreliable sourcing. Conrad T. Pino 05:20, 17 September 2007 (UTC) [reply ]

2011 Focus Features Releases

[edit ]

I find it odd that three films listed on www.focusfeatures.com as being releases for this year aren't mentioned in the article. They are The Debt - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Debt, One Day - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Day_(film) , and Beginners - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beginners . I'm still figuring out how to edit articles, but it would be nice if someone could go in and fix this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.113.70.148 (talk) 00:53, 11 April 2011 (UTC) [reply ]

I added many of the 2011 and 2012 films to this article. Having trouble with some of the spacing though, but I got it mostly right. There's some extra lines between the 2011 and 2012 years column, but other than that I think it looks okay. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Debusu (talkcontribs) 19:26, 9 October 2011 (UTC) [reply ]
