Equality?
[edit ]In the derivation section ,this line bothers me: "Subtracting rSn from Sn, dividing both sides by ,and using the technique of telescoping series (second equality) and the formula for the sum of a finite geometric series (fifth equality) gives..."
My question is- what are these mentions of second and fifth equality in the following?

Generalizations
