DELTA
This function identifies whether two values are equal. Returns 1 if they are equal; returns 0 otherwise.
Syntax
DELTA(value1, value2)
Arguments
This function takes two values as arguments.
Remarks
Also called the Kronecker Delta function. This is a discrete version of the Dirac delta function.
Data Types
Accepts numeric data. Returns numeric data (0 or 1).
Examples
DELTA(A1,5)
DELTA(R1C4,R2C5)
DELTA(3,3) gives the result 1
DELTA(3,2) gives the result 0
DELTA(3,2.99999) gives the result 0
DELTA(3,QUOTIENT(6,2)) gives the result 1
