@ceraffen Sir, 152,000 in one day HAS to be a record! I can't think of anyone who can do as much in 24 hours. I mean doing 100,000 in one day itself is a very very difficult task. That club itself will have very few members. Distance wise you must have crossed a 100 km that day! Am I right? YOU ARE A LEGEND SIR ... View more

I haven't tried a hike in the woods recently, in the past, the trees have had the ability to slow the gps signal down from one satellite, resulting in a few more squiggles then I actually walked. In one park, everytime I walked next to the tree line, the recorded path would shift. ... View more

Hi All clear now after 3 months. FitBit is still accurate. My GP sent me to a Heart Specialist and the aFib I had, the Specialist put it to the lingering effect of my Only Covid infection. I do yoga and meditation as well and have been practicing for many years. I’m also interested in reducing sleep to fit more into life. The Fitbit sleep tracker has led me in the same direction as you, to explore whether I’m okay with less sleep (or to confirm that). My average is about five hours of sleep and my scores range between low 80s to low 90s. I think the higher scores are signs that your body will acclimate to getting less sleep especially with yoga and meditation. Another sign is I will wake up stiff physically when I get too much sleep. I know this is contrary to the current public notions of sleep needs but I think personal experience trumps the opinion of others. ... View more
Hello Fitbit Community, Totally get you—it's tough to stick to healthy habits when the team’s always grabbing takeout! Subway and Panera are solid picks, but you're right, even the "healthy" options sneak in tons of sodium. On busy days, I try to customize orders—skip the sauces, go for whole grains, and load up on veggies. And hey, if you’re staying in to avoid the takeout trap, it’s the perfect excuse to chill with some good content. I recommend checking out the TV Latino app—it’s a great free streaming option to unwind with your favorite shows while keeping those cravings in check! Best of Luck Team! ... View more

I have POTS, so my resting HR is high 50s/low 60s and will increase to the 120s the moment I stand in the morning. In a warm shower, I'll easily get to 120s and (on a bad day) up to the 150s. I have mild pots, though, so when I am having a good day, my morning routine will bring my hr up to the 110s. I'm not a Dr., but your hr for your morning routine seems pretty normal IF you're moving non stop in the morning. Maybe look at the quality of your sleep to see if it is increasing your morning heart rate? ... View more

That's really interesting as exactly the same thing has happened to me. I suspect perhaps a Fitbit update or similar has brought about this sudden change. I feel exactly the same as before while running, although I'm now supposedly at peak for far longer. Previously, when I was at peak for just a few minutes, I would look at the graph and go "yeah, I remember that particularly tough uphill section" or whatever. But now it registers "peak" at times when i'm not pushing myself that hard. And I don't think I've suddenly got fitter, as my exercise regime has not changed! Thanks guys for the tips. ... View more

You might need to turn on/set your Fitbit to record the exercise. I have a Fitbit versa 2 (I think) and there is an orange person who looks like the running icon that has exercise under it. If you click that there is a number of exercises it can track better when you start That workout. If you don’t see it click more exercises and select stair climber. Make sure you press start/stop when you begin and end to make sure it’s as accurate as you can have it. ... View more

It sounds like you've made some positive changes in your life with your Fitbit and increased activity level. Winter can be challenging, especially when it comes to maintaining healthy habits. One thing that might help is finding activities you enjoy indoors, like Winter Memories Game, to keep you moving even when the weather outside is frightful. Additionally, consider meal prepping or finding healthier alternatives to your favorite comfort foods to help curb any winter cravings. Surrounding yourself with supportive and like-minded individuals can also make a big difference in staying motivated. Remember, progress is progress, no matter how small, and you're not alone in your journey towards better health. ... View more

Ideally, if you want to add weight then do resistance training to build lean muscle - will require moderate increase in caloric intake and protein but otherwise, stay away from processed foods - especially sugary ones like chocolate milk, otherwise you run the risk of elevating visceral fat and risk of diabetes - insulin resistance. That's something bears leverage relative to diet of fatty salmon and berries, where insulin resistance leads to pronounced fat gain which they need for hibernation - otherwise, certainly not ideal an strategy for humans. ; ) ... Generally, 'biohacking' implies working with the natural homeostatic systems of your body - what Dave Asprey refers to a 'Meat OS', meat operating system ; ) Understanding the natural homeostatic functions of your body will allow you to best optimize your health without having to rely on invasive techniques that modify the body via artificial means which generally is not a good thing since it bypasses your innate system of checks and balances - as do many medications. The more you educate yourself on related topics, the better you can relate to and understand the principles behind biohacking that force your body to adapt in a way that helps optimize your health rather than allow it to become lazy. It's more important as you age and your body loses homeostasis or ability to maintain it - via excess weight, drop in hormones, excess stress or lack of exercise etc. All of which can be addressed via basic approaches of a healthy diet, nutrition, exercise and stress reduction - basically what the system of Yoga attempts to provide, which also includes 'spiritual health' which (in theory) will allow you to be more in sync with your body/mind and 'greater reality'... However it best suits your ideals and objectives vs. just looking at the body as a biological machine and how to optimize it's functionality while maximizing it's performance - more or less what Biohacking implies. ; ) ... @Meadecuba24 You need to figure out WHY you are loosing weight... It could be doing little. It could be not eating enough. It could be burning way more than you think (that was my problem in the past). The Fitbit data will give you the hints on this. Also... It could also be health problems/illness. Not to scare you but that is a possibility too use the fitbit to monitor your food intake and calories burnt. Don't rely on snacks / sugars to get those numbers up. Have 'real' meals. That makes sure you're not in a calorie deficit. Preferably eating too much according to the Fitbit. Next make sure you're getting enough protein. 1g to 2g per kg of bodyweight. That solves the weight loss. To gain back what was previously lost, you need to exercise. Could just be walking, or go full on at the gym. If you want to share some of your health data, we could give less generalized advice.... ... View more

So i have noticed that it is most likely tue device. This is a common problem with fitbit. I have svt and have been in vtach before and the random spikes on this watch do not correlate with those episodes. There is only a certain level of accuracy with these watches. My suggestion is to manually count the pulse and you will mpst likely find it is nowhere near what the fitbit is saying. As someone who has actual arrythmias, I never rely on this watch or any watch for accuracy with that. When my pulse goes to 230 this device doesn't pick it up accurately. The manual way is the best way. Usually with a rapid pulse there are sensations you would get..esp on the 200s. There would be flutterings...pounding, light headedness etc. Just my two cents...hope that helps. ... View more

Aiming for that 111,111,111 (in 11 years) at year end, but also not dipping below 15,000 per day, I nearly overdid it by December 20th, and needed a daily average of just over 15K. all went well on December 31st, but it's really hard to stop on exact number of steps when a little machine is counting them! Happened to me yesterday. Started with chills and no fever then all heck broke loose. Fever, throat, body ache, head pressure and scariest of it all was a resting heart rate of 120s-130s. Went to ER Care and they did Covid (negative) and flu test (negative). Doc said its 1 of 240 viruses and the HR is a sign the body is fighting it. She said controlling the fever and symptoms will lower the HR. 500mg Tylenol every 4 hrs. It started dropping 12hrs later. Now the next morning I have a fever still but heart rate is 90s/100s. Scary but the body is amazing. The head pressure is the worst part of this ... View more
