New GUID
New GUID is an old extension from Basic-Ultradev, updated for Dreamweaver MX, MX 2004, and DW 8. New GUID is a server behavior that creates a globally unique identifier and puts it into a session variable. The session variable is also added automatically to the Bindings panel.
Use the extension by accessing the Server Behaviors panel> Tom-Muck.com> New GUID. Simply type in the name of a session variable, and the new globally unique identifier will be placed in the session variable upon page load.
To add the new guid to a form field on the page or another page, drag it from the Bindings panel and drop it on a form field (hidden field, text field) in Design view.
The server behavior works in ASP and ColdFusion.
