Twenty-Seventh Annual ACM SIGACT-SIGOPS Symposium on Principles of Distributed Computing (PODC 2008) http://www.podc.org/podc2008/ (Co-located with CONCUR 2008) PODC is a conference that focuses on research in the theory, design, specification and implementation of distributed systems. PODC is sponsored by ACM, SIGACT, and SIGOPS. PODC 2008 will host a symposium celebrating the contributions of Nancy Lynch, a presentation of the Dijkstra Prize, and a number of workshops on topics related to PODC and CONCUR. PODC solicits papers on all areas of distributed systems. We encourage submissions dealing with any aspect of distributed computing from theoretical or experimental viewpoints. The common goal is to improve understanding of the principles underlying distributed computing. Topics of interest include the following subjects in distributed systems:
