Description: In this video recording, the speaker Julia Pute is describing the traditional dance of Santa Cruz Island referred to as nelâ dance. The nelâ is the traditional nose earrings worn in the pierced septum during the dance. This traditional dance is no longer performed in the Nea and Nemboi community, only in rare occasions. The session takes place at the speaker's place.
