Random Bridges
And River Structures

This is a collection of web pages focusing on bridges and other river structures that do not fit within the scope of one of my main bridges and structures projects. There is no set criteria for a bridge or structure to be included here other than it has to appeal to the author's senses.

Under Construction

Please note that this is an open-ended collection, and it will grow over time.

Beaver Bridge Beaver Bridge, the last remaining suspension bridge in Arkansas, and the impact of the 2008 floods.
Big M Bridge The Big M bridge has been part of the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis since 1949.
Graffiti Bridge Graffiti Bridge was a Twin Cities landmark immortalized in the Prince movie shortly before it was dismantled.
Irene Hixon Whitney Bridge Part bridge, part artwork, this 1988 structure became an instant landmark in Minneapolis.
Royal Gorge Bridge Royal Gorge Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in the world, towers 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River.
The 7 Bridges Road Built in 1899 during the nationwide fad to build parkways and scenic drives, the four mile long Seven Bridges Road remains as one of the most spectacular parkway drives in the Midwest.
The 8 Bridges Road The Chippewa River flows into the Mississippi River over a wide delta. The silt carried by the Chippewa creates a natural dam in the Mississippi, which creates Lake Pepin, the largest lake in the Upper Mississippi. Highway WI-35 crosses this delta on 8 bridges.
Zumbrota Covered Bridge The Zumbrota Covered Bridge is the only surviving authentic wooden covered bridge in Minnesota.
